Dr Amanda Hordern is a recognised expert and leader in cancer and palliative care program development, education and research. Committed to uniting key stakeholders in collaborative approaches to program development that improves outcomes for cancer community. Amanda developed the first tertiary based education program for Breast Care Nurses in Australia.
Amanda’s research interests include issues of sexuality and intimacy in cancer and palliative care. Amanda has an extensive track record for being a confident, creative and powerful public speaker and writer. Topics include; cancer, palliative care, sexuality and building stronger relationships after cancer or chronic illness.
Amanda managed a world class team of cancer information and support specialists in a community based organisation for 5 years, creating a culture of ongoing professional development, peer support and mentoring .
